2024 Galena Pride Picnic

We are so excited to host the Pride Picnic for the third year! This event was started by Geoff Karnish and Alex Arroyo in 2021 and it has been a staple of summertime fun ever since. This event could not happen without the support of the Library’s Board of Trustees, the City of Galena, local businesses and organizations, volunteers, and the many picnic attendees. Thank you for continuing to make this event possible! 

Last year’s event had an estimated 500 attendees, 16 vendor booths, two musicians, six drag performers, 17 raffle baskets, a dog trick show, face painting, lawn games, arts and crafts, and more! Most importantly, this event creates a safe, welcoming space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and families and allies to be themselves and celebrate one another.
