Artist Christine Curry will share information about her Andy Warhol-inspired “Pop Art” exhibit focused on water quality issues in the Mississippi River, followed by a simple (cookies & lemonade) reception.
Christine’s inspiration comes from a life-long journey of advocating for animals, nature, people, art, and the environment. The Upper Mississippi River Valley’s water quality issues are dire. Clean water needs to be a top priority for both public health and recreation.
“I think having land and not ruining it is the most beautiful art that anybody could ever want.” – Andy Warhol
After the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display at the Galena Public Library from April 12 – 22.
Sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Jo Daviess County.
