Poet Laureate Appointment Ceremony (in-person)

The committee is thrilled to celebrate three wonderful poets, Daniel Dahlquist, Lynn Werner, and Theodore Williams.

Galena will be the smallest city in the nation to appoint a Poet Laureate. The position will entail working in the community alongside the Galena Public Library, the Galena School District, the Galena Center for the Arts, and the City of Galena to celebrate the heritage, uniqueness, diversity, and achievements of the City of Galena through the appreciation and art of poetry.
