In celebration of the eleventh annual Galena LitFest, the Galena Public Library, is thrilled to announce the return of Debra Miller, who will portray Laura Ingalls Wilder in the Grant Park Pavilion on Sunday, May 18 at 11 am. Tickets include a box lunch provided by Galena Bakehouse and beverages provided by Galena Roasters Coffee Shop.
The Little House books are a beloved literary phenomena, with hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the world, but Laura Ingalls Wilder said “All I have told is true, but it is not the whole truth”. Through her letters, journals and original text of Pioneer Girl, Laura speaks to you in her own words of the hardship, heartbreaks and harrowing events that inspired the Little House books.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be purchased here, https://lauraingallswilder.eventbrite.com, or at the front desk of the Galena Public Library. When purchasing tickets please be prepared to choose an entree, side, dessert, and beverage as well as indicate any food allergies/preferences for each member of your party. If you’d like to be seated next to a party which is registered separately, please contact Larissa Distler at the Galena Public Library, 815-777-0200 or distlerl@galenalibrary.org. We will do our best to accommodate seating requests. Ticketing will close on May 8, 2025.
