This is a great project for beginner to intermediate crocheters who know the basics. The pattern primarily uses double crochet and chain stitches to create two hexagons which create the foundation of the sweater. Advanced crocheters are also welcome to join in and enjoy crocheting with a group. Register here:

We will meet on Thursdays for five weeks – 9/28, 10/5, 1012, and 11/2 from 5:30-6:30 pm. Each week Larissa will the next week’s section of the pattern, answer questions, and provide helpful resources.
So crocheters can choose their own color palate, the library will not be providing the materials. The pattern is designed with a four-ply yarn in mind, such as Red Heart With Love, Big Twist Value Worsted, or Caron Jumbo. Larissa likes Big Twist the best, but use what you like as long as it’s four ply. You’ll need four to six skeins of yarn, if you’re using one of those varieties.
The provided pattern uses a A, B, C, D color scheme. 3 skeins of color A, 1 skein of color B, 2 skeins of color C, and 2 skeins of color D.
If you’d like to use all one color or a self-striping yarn, you’ll need 6 skeins.
You’ll also need a size L/11 (8 mm) crochet hook. A yarn needle and a pair of scissors will also be useful for switching colors and weaving in ends.
The pattern was created by Jess at the Make n’ Do Crew and adapted to a Stitchalong format by Larissa
